It might be a new name, only about 100 years old, but it is a charming old city dating back to pre-Roman times. This makes for a wonderful mix of different cultures, cuisines, different architectural styles from the stunning city castle to Soviet style apartment buildings and UFO style new bridge, cobblestone streets, lively bars, Austrian-Hungarian palaces and the Danube river as a stunning backdrop for our intriguing city.

Bratislava is surrounded by vineyards, beautiful mountains and forests. You can go skiing, you can dine in cafes on the river bank, enjoy cultural events, like the Slovak Philharmonic, pop concerts, ballet and National Theater and some glamorous cities are within reach, like Vienna, linked to Bratislava by hydrofoil services.
