Originally Buda and Pest (which was built as a replica of Paris), they were joined in the 18th century by a bridge over the Danube River and eventually the two cities merged into Budapest.
A festival of architectural delights comes to mind when you think of Budapest, baroque, art nouveau, you can gaze for hours at the stunning buildings in our city. Hot springs dominate the city, Budapest is famous for its bath houses. You can spend a wonderful afternoon being scrubbed clean in one of the most famous Turkish hammams – Rudas Bath before you dip in the ice cold pool, how refreshing!
Food is great and be prepared to be surprised by menus, what to think of “Beef, suddenly roasted” – but all is prepared with loving tender care. Budapest is famous for it’s goulash of course.

Cocktails over the Fishermen’s Bastion, one of the city’s loveliest architectural complexes dating from the 1900’s with magnificent views of the city, and lunch in the Castle district to discover local gastronomy.
This afternoon is devoted to exploring the Castle district (UNESCO World Heritage site) with your guide. This area is unique, with its little cobblestone streets. Your group will enjoy an improvised concert during this walk. Hungarian wine tasting in vaulted cellars. Much appreciated in France, the tokayi outshines other wines that delight many wine lovers all over the world.
Traditional lunch with music in the heart of Budapest. This evening also features a tasting of beer brewed on site. The evening will be enlivened by a musical trio.
