Stretched out for more than 2500 miles, with an average width of about 100 miles, it is no wonder that Chile shows you an array of different landscapes, one even more stunning the other. We have erupting volcanoes, icy glaciers whose ice moves inches and slowly crumbles into the sea, the Andes Mountains, the very dry Atacama Desert where you can study the galaxy through the most impressive observatories, blue rivers, the majestic fords. You can climb mountains, go trekking through the National Parks, wild water rafting, visit vineyards, travel to the mysterious Easter Islands.
Our capital Santiago, has a spectacular setting, ringed by mountains. The Chileans are warm, friendly and hospitable and there is no such thing as a rushed dinner. At Southbound, DMC Chile, we would love to show you the best that Chile has to offer. We are ready to assist you.

“Hi, we are back in Arizona now so I wanted to email you about our trip. We want to thank you so very much for putting together what turned out to be the nicest week possible. Everything was planned out so well and we were able to sit back and relax and be taken care of.
It was great having our guide and driver for almost the entire week. The continuity of working with the same people allowed us to make some changes to the itinerary, and they where great help in giving us suggestions on how to use our free time.”

More about me
I was born in Utrecht, Netherlands, and grew up there, too. After studying economy in Amsterdam I wanted to travel around the world.
When travelling through Chile, I absolutely fell in love with this lovely country. So I decided to stay and joined Protours, DMC Chile, in 1998, living my passion: tourism in Chile. I am now MD of Southbound.
The last 20 years I have proudly seen us become a very experienced and professional DMC, well known for its high standard of quality.
